South African Golf Courses - Wild Coast
Situated
on one of the most beautiful and rugged coastlines in the world,
the wild coast provides for an exciting visual experience. The
5087 meters par 70 course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Junior.
Some of the outstanding features of the Wild Coast course is the
59 bunkers guarding manicured greens, interesting layouts and
scenery bordering on the fantastic. Most of the holes require
one hit over ravines, dams and even a waterfall as the course
winds through valleys and largely unspoiled subtropical bush over
the tops of dunes. A relatively easy course can
change into a terrifying experience once the coastal wind starts
picking up.
When your ball lands in the water on the 18th hole, you will hear
the ringing from the brass bell on the balcony of the clubhouse.
The combination of exciting golf and breathtaking scenery makes
a round of golf at the Wild Coast a truly memorable experience.
